Metron software has powerful image editing, image enhancement and manipulation and within 2 minutes, enables the superimposition of accurate geometric mark up measurements on radiographic and photographic images in turn enabling the creation of:
• 3D Models of the bones in the equine lower leg, based on the guided mark-up picks done on one standard lateral radiograph in just two minutes. These bones can then be viewed from any angle in Metron and the joints articulated within the 3D model.
• A “morph” between any two images or composite images e.g. a precise superimposition of a radiograph of a coffin bone over a digital photograph of a hoof, which is automatically facilitated via the software. A “morph” is a Metron feature animation in which the first image (the “before” image) gradually turns into the second image (the “after” image) with a resultant dramatic video effect of change over time. The Veterinarian is better able to view and monitor change over time. It is a great aid to client understanding on matters surrounding Laminitis, the extent of coffin bone rotation or sinking and Founder.
• Pre-formatted reports automatically. Multi-page client reports with a series of these images which will show change and improvement over time, before and after images, X-ray or ultrasound images and digital photographs. Images are automatically cropped, scaled, and placed on the report pages. Optional comments or suggestions from the veterinarian may be placed on each page. Reports generated using the Metron Reporting Tool have the practitioner’s clinic logo and contact information on the cover page and contain images with mark-up as well as captions and other practitioner specific information.
