The DiXcam® system uses the characteristics of digital camera and signal technologies. The chosen camera comes from latest developments in satellite based forest fire detection. Complex geometric and optic calculation allowed the overall depth of the unit to be reduced considerably.
The signal transfer is entirely digital. This means large volumes of data can be transferred without loss of integrity via fibre optic cable or wireless transmitter. The camera generates this data as 14bit signals while the software operates at 12bit. The camera chip is also capable of combining the individual x-ray pulse sequences and enhancing the image contrast, which allows the user to utilise multiple pulse sequences.
The standard system configuration includes approximately 60 metres of fibre optic cable on a cable drum and a wireless transmitter (WLAN, 500m line-of-sight). The DiXcam® system is configured to operate seamlessly with the Logos Imaging Application.
